I am looking to build a labala but I am thinking of reworking things to use a fiero components and drive train and I have one that cost me nothing and there are a ton of aftermarket brakes and tubular a-arm that you could use. Also has anyone done a different front and rear suspension in there labala ie tubular a arm in the rear and a different shock set up front and rear any ideas would be great I like the labala main chassis and body just thinking of doing something a little different

Hi Lumpy,

I'm sure it can be done. I like guys who try new things but I won't be able to be much help to you because I don't know a thing about the Fiero except that they are used to make Lambo replicas!

I think you'd be able to use the center section of my chassis, but would end up having to build your own front and rear ends to be able to use the Fiero parts. Also making sure that you hit the magic width to keep the tires under the bodywork.

The plans do have all of those dimensions, it also comes with a complete parts list for what comes off the MR2 and what you have to buy new as well as a cut list for all the metal. And then of course every tube in the chassis comes with its own plan sheet with templates for cutting the ends for the more difficult cuts.

BTW - the width of the bodywork underneath the wheelwells is 64" across both at the front and rear. That's what you have to fit your tires under. Depending on the backspacing on your rims the actual track of the car can be different than what I have designed but as long as you hit that width so the tires can travel up under the fenders and not rub.

The wheelbase is 97"

I've devised a more efficient way to crate the bodywork which has brought the cost way down from before. Shipping is now $350 for anywhere across the entire country.
