Im not sure about that end of the country, but I know in CT you could get away with it. I do know that you dont have to have a body on the car, but you do need an engine cover of some sort and the wheels must have fenders on them. A windshield isnt required, but if you have one you must have wipers and a defrosting system.
What I did is I called the DMV office and requested a list of all required equipment for custom/homebuilt cars and motorcycles. They should send you everythinng you need, mine even included the special forms i need to fill out when im finished. Good luck! |
