Super Progress Week Print E-mail

Lots of progress the past few weeks. I'll try to give a decent recap here.

 DSCN2658

Jason Zwiebel has been instrumental in pushing the car development forward. We generated a task list, printed it out and assigned them priorities. Now we are working our way down that list with the goal of having the car ready to drive and show at the Club Racing Arizona "Arizona Drift" event on July 15 at Firebird International Raceway. I encourage anyone interested in seeing La Bala in person and hopefully driven hard during a real drift event to come out to Firebird International Raceway starting at 9:00pm Saturday July 15, 2006.

DSCN2646  This image might look like a bomb factory, but out of this mass of wires Jason was able to put together a decent wiring loom based on a schematic that I developed using various resources found on the Internet. Thank God for Google.
DSCN2643  Nothing spells horsepower clearer than clean valve covers! Thank you Jason for sandblasting these.
DSC01897  Ok, I lied, nothing spells horsepower clearer than TURBO! This is the initial fitment of the turbo and log manifold. Not looking for mega horsepower, just a decent boost in power thank you.
DSC01894  In our attempt to make a street legal version of La Bala without bodywork, here is the initial steps of the headlamps behind the windshield. With the proper light blockoff plates there should be no light backwash for the passengers. Suprisingly the lights in this position do not block any critical forward vision. Only blocking off partial view of the tires.
DSCN2650  I love this view. Maybe I'm just a proud papa, but I think the car looks great!
