February 20th progress report Print E-mail
About 2 weeks ago my Canon S100 digital camera took a dump on me. Again! :( This is one major reason I have not updated the site with new diary entries! No pictures... I like the ultra-small form factor of S100, but this is the second time it has broken (and it's NOT mistreated!) so I have decided to release it to my kids for experimentation and buy a new one that will hopefully be more dependable. The camera I settled on is the Sony DSC-W1. It also is an ultra-small unit, but 5 megapixels, movie mode and a huuge 2.5" LCD on the back. I saw this camera at the local Circuit City and fell in love with it, but I bought it from NewEgg because of a package deal that included a gigabyte of additional memory for only $70 more! If you need electronics and computer components you need to look no further than NewEgg. The prices are great, the return polucy is fantastic and the product ships usually same-day.

As soon as I get this camera in my grubby little hands I will post an update about the car. Things that I have been working on? Smoothing out body panels by sanding, filling, sanding... Also made great progress on the gauges and the gauge bezel. Everyone who has seen it has liked it. That's cool!

I've been experiencing a lot of bone and joint pain lately and I think it's because of the rains. The amount of rain we have gotten this year is several inches above normal for the season. Strange stuff. But when it does rain I have really bad joint issues where I can barely move and my joints all pop and crack like I am an old man. Not too good when you are trying to build a car! :(
