Here
are some photos showing early work on rollbar brace positioning.
My
brass shifter bushings from TwosRus.com. I love these things! Crisp,
crisp shifting.
Seen
in this photo is the bellcrank outer fulcrum. The stock nylon block
that normally sits between the bellcrank and the shift arm was missing.
This resulted in a huge amount of slop at the shifter. I machined
a brass pillow block and it really does the trick. Red stuff is grease.
A
twosRus.com 'necked' ali shift knob. Dramatic improvement over the
stock knob. The weight of this unit is perfect, it feels perfect
underhand. Notice the addition of the short-throw adapter I fabbed
up.
Shifting
is a joy with this setup, the throw is super-quick, the feel is 'snick-snick'
and there is no slop whatsoever! Loverly!!!
PRETTY!
Simple
short-throw extender made out of a piece of steel with 2 holes drilled
in it.
One
last view of the rollbar for now. And yes, before you mention it
to me, the chassis will be braced into this point much better than
you see it here. :-)
